Keen Helps Bring Short’s Brewing Company to Traverse City

It has been a long journey, but we’ve made a strong first step. Keen Technical Solutions is proud to partner with Short’s Brewing Company for an impactful redevelopment project at Logan’s Landing. Our team is finalizing plans to reshape the east side of the property, bringing strategic investment and economic strength to the Boardman Lake community.
Redevelopment Plans for Logan’s Landing
With the acquisition finalized on March 16, we’re making exciting progress on our 16,000-square-foot property. Short’s Brewing Company will occupy 10,000 square feet of the redesigned space, with many current tenants confirmed to stick around.
Short’s Brewing Finally Arrives in Traverse City
The region’s most iconic brewer has long been attracted to Traverse City, but Short’s Scott Newman-Bale says they never found the right location - or the right partner. Short’s will develop a new taproom with on-site brewing, food service, and indoor and outdoor seating. With plans to open in Spring 2027, we’re hard at work to jump-start renovation projects that will allow for Fall 2026 pop-ups and small-scale operations that will provide a sneak peek for the community.
Keen Is Invested in the Boardman Lake
Our partnership with Short’s Brewing aligns perfectly with our Mill District, located just a mile northeast along Woodmere Ave. This project, in collaboration with Brick Wheels and other investors, will add employment, housing, and recreational opportunities to Traverse City, expanding the economic footprint of Downtown TC. Keen Technical Solutions is committed to enriching our community through sustainable development projects that prioritize long-term considerations and put locals and neighbors first.
